I have been trying really hard to eat more naturally in our house.  I've been making our own spaghetti sauce, Ice cream, and going more organic and whole wheat whenever the budget allows.  So, while making a batch of sauce, Ascher decided he wanted some veggies.  I was very happy, thinking he was actually going to EAT them.  I was wrong...... With all the snowfall comes all the snowfall cleanup.  After getting tired and winded and chilled by playing, we requested the boys start shovelling.  We figured that each person had to have an escape route in case of an emergency.  So we started moving the stuff, ever so slowly between the 5 houses to the end of the driveway.  Luckily for us, our neighbor has a plow on his truck, and would plow

Yes, from inside, you think it's a lot of snow.  Then you get out there, and realize just exactly how much snow had fallen.  The pile of snow is from the drive-way across from ours.  They had gotten plowed before us(good thing, you couldn't see the neighbors car under the snow!).  It was very hard to even get there!  The snow was so soft and loose,  Ascher was having a hard time walking in it!

The next day, we hosted Christmas for Immer's family. Ascher insisted on helping shovel. So he grabbed the shovel and headed out front. He did a pretty good job cleaning up! We took a trip to the Orchestra this year. We were unsure if Ascher would enjoy it, so we kept it a surprise until we actually got there. We finally decided to take a little family trip to Chuck E. Cheese's. Wow, what a difference a weekday makes! We practically had the entire place to ourselves- and it was quiet enjoyable! Ascher had a great time in the Magic Kingdom. He loved Cinderella's Castle, and was really excited to see it. That's how he knew he was finally in Disney. We were really not sure how this would go. When you ride your first coaster, you either love it or hate it. Luckily for us, Ascher loved it! He was laughing and screaming the entire time! We knew it was going to be a busy vacation. And I made sure to start it off with a bang! We had a wonderful breakfast with Goofy, Donald and Minnie at Cape May. We love our neighbors. We try to do as much as possible with them while the weather is still nice. So one day, we jumped in the car and headed to the apple farm! Ascher learned to get Oreo's love with food. He would drop it, she would grab it. So he also was responsible for her lunch and dinner. He liked having a job! This year, we had a whole new reason to look forward to the first snow. The snow plow! According to Ascher, it didn't work. According to mom, it works just fine. Ascher was excited to get his stitches out, but I don't think he understood the process. It's exactly like getting them in, but this time, they use scissors! And here he is, all sewed up. It's his left corner of his mouth. Yeah, right there where it's swollen. He is now at home resting well. They gave him some antibiotics and other instructions that we are to follow for the next week. Hopefully it will heal quickly and not leave too much damage to his little face.

We had just returned from a great trip to the craft store, and bought all kinds of fun things to make Christmas cards!
