Trick or Treat!

Today we took Ascher around a friends neighborhood (we found out on Friday that they don't do that in our neighborhood...boo!). Ascher looked so cute and got so many wonderful comments! Our friends took his little treat bag to all the houses so mommie and daddie could reap all the goodies! It was also his first time sitting in the actual stroller...What a big boy! He enjoyed looking at all the fun costumes and watching everyone walk by...But his favorite part was playing with the candy. Right now his personal favorites are Jolly Rancher suckers and twix bars.

Recent Updates

Ok....Now all past photos have been uploaded....Now here is what is going on this week!

Well, it's the week before Halloween, and so much is going on! Ascher is going to be Tigger! He loved the costume, and we couldn't think of anything else, so we went with it. He also just got his 4 month shots, and did wonderfully! He is such a good boy that I fear for my life with the next child.

Immer and I are anxiously awaiting the day that Ascher rolls over. He is getting close, although we have been saying that for the past two months! He loves laying on either side, talking to all his friends on his gym. He has gotten amazingly good with tummy time. He loves laying on our bed, talking to me while I do laundry. He is learning to hide his face when we come close, like a very rough hide and seek. He has also become an expert with standing. He loves standing up and looking around the house. Always something new for him to look at. He also loves smacking his head against the patio door. He gets such a thrill from banging his hands on the window, watching his reflection, and putting finger prints on everything. Ascher is also, we believe, teething. He cannot get enough of chewing on his fingers. I keep an eye out for anything white, but nothing so far.

As for the house, things are coming along slowly. We got new carpeting installed in the basement. It looks so wonderful! The desk was delivered yesterday, and is lying there waiting for us to unpack it and put it together. Once that is up, the computer and all files are transferred. We will finally have I COMM up and running in its new office! We can't wait for that! No more forgetting things in Schaumburg or needed something that is somewhere else. It seems that every time we complete something, we add ten more things to our list!

Well, that's all the news for now! We will continue to update when new events happen, but until then, Happy Halloween!

Mmmmm...Plastic!

Ascher has been entertained by my water bottle recently. Full or not, he insists on playing with it, chewing on it, and watching the water move around. And yes, he has been known to wack himself in the head a few times when the bottle is too full.

My Tongue

Ascher has just recently found his tongue. He loves playing with it, sticking it out, and blowing raspberries. He has also been known to lick things....And people. He loves to grab his tongue and play with it, I've even seen him chewing on it.

More Family!

Immer's cousin Eric and clan were in town when we returned from the beach. Eric just couldn't resist our little one! It was great to see them....maybe we will be heading down to Arizona soon! Here's hoping!

First Snow

It was the middle of October, and we had our first snow! I took Ascher to the window, stuck his hand in it, and tried to explain to him what he was looking at. He just liked banging his hands on the door and making funny faces at me. Oh well....I like to believe that he enjoyed it!

Mommie needs help!

The first time in the Jumper was a little rocky.......His legs never seem to want to go in the holes....and the height really needed to be adjusted.

But once all that was fixed....we had a great time!

At the Beach!

Ascher and mommie at the beach! He really loved the water, couldn't keep his eyes off of it! He also loved squishing his toes in the sand....

One Cool Dude!

Immer and Ascher have the same size head! Ascher's wearing daddy's cool shades! They are a perfect fit! We were at the beach for my sister's wedding in September. We had lots of fun! I hope Amy enjoys her crock pot!

....And Again!

Look closely....see that little brown lump sticking out of the top of her bag......

That is correct....It's Ascher! Amy wanted a purse puppy....but instead opted for a purse baby! My poor son!

Auntie Amy strikes again!

Well well well....Ascher went from reading Brown Bear Brown Bear to Cosmo! Don't let daddy know!

Meeting his Aunt and Uncles

Everyone was so excited to meet Ascher! Auntie Amy, afectionately known as "Crazy Amy", Uncle Steven, AKA PeeWee, and David.

Crazy Amy did it!

Amy decided to steal money from dad, and hide it in Ascher's diaper! Sneaky sneaky!

Fun with Toys!

You have just got to love toys that make noise and move! Ascher loves to kick things, so this gift from our dear friend and realtor is quite fun! It can amuse him for at least 20 minutes....or until Immer and I just can't take those songs anymore!

Crazy Hair!

Our little man has discovered he can blow bubbles! By the time he was done that night, he had his own little bubble gotee. And that hair...it won't stay down! But it's too cute to cut!

That's what you get!

Ascher has become an avid thumb sucker- something I really don't like. To try and stop this, I put a necklace in his hand. Leave it to him to find a way around that! He ended up playing for about 10 minutes with that thing on his face!

Brown Bear

Ascher loves his books....Brown Bear Brown Bear was one I read in kindergarten. I
love this book, and now so does he!

Meeting the Fam

We decided it would be cute to assemble all the babies and take a group photo. Boy, was that hard! Ascher is on the end, with his cousin Isabella. They are only about a week apart, and Ascher looks like a giant next to her (Sorry Tammy! Hopefully she has caught up!......I knew I should have watched what I ate when I was pregnant!)

Gotta Love Einstein!

Ascher in his gym, playing with his cubes. The duck is his favorite! The gym is also something we can't live without. He's always in that thing. The nice thing is, we can change the toys out, and it's like a new gym to him!

Chillin' With Grandpa

My dad just couldn't resist this little guy!
(in the background, you can see all of our wonderful furntiure....yes, that's a tall table. We really weren't thinking about having a baby with that, we just thought it was cool and wanted it!)

So Sad!

Finally, we caught his pathetic pout on film! It's a rare occurance, but when he pouts, he really pouts!

Hangin' Out

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit! My dad said it was just to bring me my stuff from home, but we all know the real reason :) ! He wanted to see baby Ascher!

In the Crib

Ascher's first nap in his crib. I thought the sleep positioner would actually help. Instead, Ascher used it to make himself my comfy.

Eye Spy

My creative eye couldn't help it. A friend made us this blanket, and Ascher's toes just couldn't say out of the holes. How cute!

Tired Boys

We had just recieved an entire house of furniture, and now both boys are pooped! Pretty funny since they didn't have to move the furniture in themselves. Immer loved his new chair...I'm sure one day him and Ascher will be fighting for such a great location!

First Photo

The Hernandez Family....finally complete and in one photo!

Father's Day

Immer's first Father's Day! That onsie just seemed so fitting!

I heart Baby Einstein!

First time in his gym.....little did we know how reliant we would become on such a thing!

Ascher and his Grandma!

Introducing Ascher

Baby Ascher Bleu Hernandez
Born: June 6th, 2006 at 1.15 AM (that is correct....6/6/06.....that dreaded day when no one wanted their baby to be born)
Weight: 8 lbs. 2 oz
Length: 21 1/2 inches

Reasoning behind the name? Mother's maiden name is Scher....so we put an A in front of it and got Ascher. I had pitched the idea to Immer way before he was born, and never mentioned it again. He decided Ascher when he saw the baby. As for the Bleu, Immer always wanted to name his son Elijah Bleu (yes, just like Cher), and I said no! So we comprimised on Bleu for Ascher's middle name.
