Easter Sunday

Well, this weekend just seemed to fly by! We started Saturday by installing new fluorescent lights in the garage (what a difference!), going to work, and then to a party for Ascher's girlfriend. My old manager at work had just bought a house, and had a great evening with Ascher one night in front of the fire, so to get everyone excited, she claims she has a 22 (month) old boyfriend, and he was coming to her party. He was not too happy when we first got there, but warmed up towards the end, and really got the girls going and having a great time! By the time we left (around midnight), he didn't want to leave, and the girls wouldn't let him go! But we all had a great time, and her place looks great!

Sunday, we were supposed to get up early (yeah....right) and meet Immer's parents for breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not expect to out so late, and ended up sleeping a little longer than planned. Which is fine, because Immer's parents were not ready that early either! So we met them in the evening, when everyone was more awake.

Once everyone was awake in our house, we noticed the Easter Bunny came! He brought Ascher all sorts of goodies....including a set of Cars books, an Easter book, Chalk eggs, and a Mater race car! He had a great time playing with everything, and loves the books! I also decorated the annual Crepinsek Eater Lamb Cake!

After breakfast, we headed down South to join in the festivities with my family. Ascher really enjoyed all the food. I know cause he ate my whole plate, leaving me nothing! He liked seeing all of his cousins, and playing with all of the balls laying around G-Gma's house. He also had a fun time searching for Easter Eggs outside. He picked up quite a few, including a real hard boiled eggs, which he ended up cracking and breaking open on the floor, making quite a mess.

After the hunt, Aunt Annette had a really great story that interacted with the numbered eggs, and the children really enjoyed that!

We also got to meet the newest member of the family, little Nicholas! He just kinda laid there, and screamed the entire time I held him. Apparently his grandma couldn't do much better either!
Once the madness down South settled down, we headed back North to meet with Immer's parents. When we finally arrived, Ascher had another egg hunt around the house, which was a little easier and warmer for him. We visited for a while, and helped them with Church stuff and other things around the house. When we finally got home, we all passed out.....
Now that's one crazy weekend!

Two pictures, not the same, but still something matches!

What is the same in these photos?
Is someone getting a little crazy in their old age?

Thanks!

See how polite! We are working on manners, and he's doing a really great job!

Easter is here!

Ah....Ascher got this lovely bat from his grandma and papa yesterday for Easter! Can you tell what it's now being used for?!?!?! THANKS guys, great idea! I've had to already stop him from hitting walls, windows, me, sofa and himself. And it hasn't even been 24 hours yet! But the nice thing is, he uses it more as a golf club than bat. On the other hand, Immer knows how to use it, and has already knocked down several things in the house. Boys.

Playing with food

Ascher is also learning the different trucks that are outside. He has a book "My Big Truck Book" that he reads almost daily. Now, when we drive, he screams out each truck that he sees from the book until I acknowledge him and say it with him. Gotta tell you, it can get a little distracting and repeatative! He now uses his food to play with those trucks. In the photo, he has a train, a dump truck, and big rig. Now if he would just eat those trucks....things would be great!

Yes- it was February

As you can tell, it has been a while since our last post. So sorry (mom) but I've not been feeling well. I have had a sinus infection for about a month, and it just won't go away! I have been so dizzy and out of it, that it really was affecting my day to day life. I went to the doctor three times before he gave me antibiotics, and then things started to clear up. I'm still dizzy at times, but have learned to adjust and move in certain ways to keep things stable.

Other than that- things have been great! Ascher has become more of a handful, always wanting my attention! He has learned that he has an opinion, and doesn't always have to do what he is told. So, it's been fun trying to get him to do things. He learned the word "NO" recently, and now uses it all of the time- FUN! He also is learning to pick out what he wears....can you tell? I thought it was fun, and it was really fun to see the imagination kick in. He crawled around the house roaring and having fun, and even played outside for a few minutes dressed like that. Immer didn't beleive it until he got home and saw Ascher eating a snack.

I unfortuantely haven't been at work much since I've been sick.....which is sad. I miss getting out of the house and having a little "me" time away from the boys. But I'm now back and working! Things are slow at the store, but hopefully will be picking up once Spring comes and stays. Immer has been working like a crazy person, and sometimes its hard when you go a few days without seeing him. But he's keeping his clients happy, and they are paying him, so I'm really not complaining too much. He also joined a new pool league closer to home, and they have high hopes for a great season with new people.
