I Can't Decide Either!

Well, I still can't decide on a color for the bathroom....So I let Ascher have a go at it. We've had some people over, and they all say they like the green in there. So I have to change it before I grow attached to it and that horrid color stays! I'm still thinking purple.....I mean grey....no, yellow....I don't know anymore!!

Take It OFF!

Ascher still doesn't like wearing hats, and will take it off as soon as you put it on him. He will also take the hat off your head if you are wearing one as well.

Watch and Learn

Ascher and our neighbor Leah.

Yes, I know, it's been a while...but I'm a working girl again! Things are going great here! Last week we enjoyed some beautiful weather, and enjoyed it so much!! This week, not so much. It's cold and rainy again.

Well, I started work again on Saturday, and it felt great! It was so much fun to go back to work with people I know! Plus I didn't have to worry about lugging enough diapers, or a baby making a scene and having to leave early. Immer and Ascher did great together, and enjoyed spending time together! Ascher really was great, and Immer followed his routine rather well. So it made me feel better knowing that things were OK at home, and not have to rush to take care of a baby that hasn't eaten or slept since I left. Plus, all the girls at work were very excited to have me back. Hopefully I will really help the store out. As for what I do, I basically do the things that the girls don't have time to do. Re-organize closets, put fabrics away, update books, and other non-selling chores they don't have time to do. Basically, it's what I did when I was really pregnant and didn't feel like selling, so it's what I love to do and know how to do better than sell!

As for Ascher, well, he's getting quite vocal. He loves to sit there and scream at you, in a fun loving way. And right now he is eating paper. Great. He also loves to feed himself! He loves Cheerios and those Gerber Puffs. He gets excited when he sees them, and doesn't like to share! Still no interest in crawling or walking. He does enjoy to stand though. But does get rather lazy and just fall backwards. And yes, his thumb is still stuck in his mouth.

Learning the Way

Boy oh boy! Our house has been busy! On Saturday, the Engler clan made their way to our neck of the woods. It was really fun to see everyone, and share our humble home! The kids had lots of fun playing together, although Ascher didn't get much floor time. Immer was holding on to him for dear life! I guess he was afraid that the other babies would rough him up too much. Poor thing! Ascher just sat and watched the other babies safely from his daddies arms. Then, on Monday we had our neighbors children over for the day will their mom ran errands. Dad wasn't home to save him then, so he spent the entire day on the floor playing! Ascher enjoys them, and seemed to have a good time. Thursday, our realtor stopped by to see what we've done. She was really impressed, which was uplifting!

Ascher has been a busy boy! He has learned the art of really really high pitched screaching! I swear, he can now communicate with whales, dolphins, and bats! Immer and I think it's funny, and can't help but laugh, although that is definatley not a noise we wish to encourage. He also loves to stand. Wheter it's playing on his table, in his walker, or jumper. The only thing that seems to realy be growing is his hair! Still no interest in crawling, or walking, but we keep trying.

As for Immer and Lisa, we are working hard. Well, at least Immer is. Good news though, I am officially going back to WES!!! I am very excited for the chance to get out of the house! Right now, it's weekends only. Once Ascher is a little older, and has reached all his milestones, I might consider going a little during the week. Immer is also excited! He now gets to spend weekends alone with his son (yes, I am a little afraid of that comment as well)! Immer is working very hard, and has been coming home rather late, so this would be a great time for them to truly bond and get to know each other.

Well, that seems to be it for this week! We are axiously waiting for wonderful weather again, since that one day last week just wasn't enough!

Ah yes!

We would like to thank Uncle David for this photo. Teaching Ascher how to rip and shred napkins has just been a joy to watch, and clean-up. He is also coming out with a rebelious side....who's fault could this be?

The Alphabet Game

Busy Busy Bee!

Nothing much new around here....Just hanging around the house thinking of new things to do to this place. Nine months and I'm already ready for a change. That's a designers mind for you! Ascher, or "Bleu" as he has been affectionately nicknamed, is growing by leaps and bounds. He is really into talking, and has no sincere interest in crawling. I tried the blanket around the waist thing, and he just rolled right out of it. Like they say, you can't rush a genius. He also loves is letters. I got him some magnetic alphabet set, and he enjoys ripping them off of the fridge. He is also getting into the habit of chewing on things he shouldn't....like shoestrings, belts, carpet. I just cannot wait for his teeth to finally come in. His poor thumbs are raw again and he doesn't seem to mind. He also loves to give kisses! By kisses, I mean him smacking his open mouth against your cheeck and him possibly licking you and making funny noises. He is selective with kisses, and won't give them freely. So we are lucky when he decides to share his love.
As for me, I **THINK** I'm going back to work! Yeah!!! I can't wait to get back into the store and seeing what's new. I've been gone for only six months and I'm already chomping at the bit to go back. I just want to go back and see my girls, help them out a bit and get some alone time as well! Hopefully everything works out...we can find a sitter...Ascher likes them, and the such. The only thing we can do is try!

What A Busy Week!

Boy, we came home to chaos! Immer's truck broke down in Milwakee the week before, so he had my little Honda. We finally got it back, just in time to fill the kitchen with food. Then Ascher and I took a little tirp to Naperville to visit Christie's new apartment and help with the wedding. Then on Saturday, we helped celebrate Thor's 2nd birthday! YEAH!! Then Sunday we had Immer's work partner and his family over for dinner. All said and done, I fell asleep watching TV on Sunday! Ascher has been good....he has started drooling and going crazy for his mesh bags filled with frozen foods. Immer has been on a streak of waking Ascher up at night. GRRRR! A little upsetting, but we get by.

Other than that, we have just been relaxing. I've been searching for jobs, not sure to go online or back to the real workforce. Still deciding, but Walter E. Smithe has been calling, so we shall see. Next weekend we are "hopefully" going to breakfast, brunch, or lunch with the Engler clan! Then we get to party it up at Casa Hernandez!
