Here's a wonderful site for our friends and family to see what's happening here in Round Lake! Hope you enjoy!

Growing Like a Weed!

Wow- great new feature! Here is Ascher riding his bike. I love the way his little feet move really fast. He's so funny on this thing. He still looks too small for it, but he loves it!

Walking like an Elephant

Last night, Ascher started lifting himself up onto all fours, and somewhat started to crawl/walk around. It was really funny to watch him do this. He gets a kick out of himself, and usually falls laughing. He is getting his other front teeth in, which is really fun. School is back in session, and the neighborhood has quieted down. Immer is still working very hard, and is looking forward to relaxing in the next year or two. Me, I'm still working hard on the weekends, and trying to stay busy during the week. I'm starting to itch for some redecorating, and my bedroom seems to be it. So we will see what happens on Monday, since Immer will be off! Well, I think that's it, so have a great weekend!

The Posse

Here they are...our wonderful neighbors! It was the day before school started, and they were getting the most out of it.

Two Seater

Leah is so funny! She won't let anyone play with her, but if she wants to join you, she just hops on! And she loves the camera, so she gave lots of smiles.

A Day at the Zoo

I think this was Ascher's favorite part of the Zoo. He really didn't like many of the exhibits, and I didn't get any great photos. So I will post the good ones.

Right after the fish, there was an exhibit that similated the ocean on the shore. This is Ascher holding on the Immer for dear life. This, was just the begining.

He liked the Camel, and the elephant. These were simple, but he still wouldn't smile. Maybe next year our experience will be better.

He didn't even find this funny. I tried everything in the giftshop, and this is all I got.

This was the dolphin exhibit. They had just finished a show, so they really weren't swimming around. At the Sea Lion exhibit, Ascher jumped out of his skin when one swam by him. He didn't like that very much.

Finally, a smile! We were just relaxing and having a snack, and he finally started to enjoy himself. I'm glad. It gives me hope for next year!!

Run away Leah

I love this photo!! These are our neighbors, Leah and Cameron with Ascher. Leah is a handful, and won't sit still for anything. They were actually trying to hug her, but it looks like they are trying to hold her back!

New Toy

Ascher received a similar bike for his birthday this year, which he totally loved. But shortly after we got it, the horn got stuck, and that was the only noise that would work. Well, this annoyed me very much, so I sent the company an e-mail, never thinking about it again. Well, check out what they sent us!! A Diego bike! Ascher loves the moving parts on this thing. It's really cool, and really nice of the company to send this! We keep it upstairs for now. It keeps him busy when I'm making dinner.

Great Grandma

Here's all the great grandbabies! Five so far....who will be next?!?!? Oh yeah, Christie!!

Energy Star

Tammy and Brian showed up late, of course ;), just in time for cake. Kaylin didn't like the cupcakes, so she just ate the icing. And I swear, not even 10 minutes later, this little thing was about to jump out of her skin! It was so funny to watch, but I just knew the crash was not going to be pretty. She was showing everyone that she could jump on one foot, the balloons were the funniest things on the planet, and just couldn't sit still or quite for five minutes. Thanks for the entertainment Kaylin! Brian, Tammy, how was the ride home that day?

Balloons

Last weekend we traveled down to Tinley Park for the annual August birthday party. We had a lot of fun, even though it was raining. Here, Ascher and Isabella are playing with balloons. These were a really big hit with the kids, even though we did have a few accidents.

Big Boy Seat

Immer and I finally have moved Ascher to his forward facing seat! He really likes it! Immer likes it too. He can now recline the seat back and play with him when we travel together. Not that it happens much, but it's still nice. It's also easier to get him in and out of the car. He's got it made with this thing, arm rests, it reclines, and even has a cup holder he can reach. Pretty nice!

Letters

Ascher LOVES playing with these letters. I am constantly pulling them out from under the fridge, oven, and dishwasher. They end up all over the house becasue they are easy for him to hold and crawl around. We have both letters and numbers, and hopefully by the time he is able to recognize them, we will still have all of them.
Yeah, I know. Wishful thinking.

While I blog...

As I diligently sit and update our blog, Ascher has decided to pull all of his diapers out and throw them around the room. I guess he also doesn't like my decorating, cause he's been doing this a lot!
Now that photos are updated, things are going good around here! I worked the tent sale a few weekends ago, and had a fabulous time! It definitely got rid of any selling bug that I might of had! I sold just under 15k in two days, doing better than most of the other designers! Immer has been working really hard, and even got to spend some time in Phoenix working, and playing. This is a new business opportunity, that hopefully won't work him too hard! He also got to spend some time in Dallas with his friend Doug. I know, it sounds like he's playing more than working! But he has also been working really hard, trying to make sure both jobs are happy and always busy. It's been tough, but we shall live. He really enjoys his time with Ascher on the weekends, after he sleeps in. School is about to start in the neighborhood, so all the neighbor kids are getting the summer out of their systems. I can't believe it's already been a year in this house.....

Pasta Man

Ascher LOVES Pasta-Roni! When I make this, it's all he will eat. Then usually he needs a bath, because he can't quite get it all in his mouth at once. This was him at lunch today, and this isn't nearly as bad as it has been. I had to add spinach to this so I didn't feel guilty giving him this stuff. I have tried adding meat to it, but he always picks it out! I have been outsmarted...

Raspberry Smiles

We had pancakes and eggs for dinner the other night, and Ascher had raspberries with him. He had to have a bath after this. You can see his teeth coming in! He has three coming in, all on his left side. He sometimes has little fits of pain, but so far things have been smooth sailing. We shall see what happens when the rest come in!

Um...hi mom

Again, Ascher went into the diaper bag, and pulled out a bag of rice cakes. This time, they were almost gone, so all the little crumbs went EVERYWHERE. Ascher had them on him, the diaper bag, and the kitchen floor. And then he got mad because I was cleaning them up and wouldn't let him eat it off the floor. I'm so sorry!

Trying them all

Immer went golfing the other morning, which meant Ascher was on his way to the sitter. While I was getting his lunch ready, he decided to help himself to a snack. He opened the diaper bag, found his cookies, and went a munching. He tried at least 20 cookies, and after each taste, he would throw it. So the trail of cookies there are actually nice and soggy. I guess he was looking for the best tasting cookie. And yes, he also put some in my shoe so I could take them to work. How sweet.

Helping with Laundry

Ascher likes to pull up so much, that he will find anything to do it on. Here, he is trying to get in the dryer. He was actually pulling himself all the way up, but this time he got distracted by the lint. He didn't like it on his fingers, or the fact it moved when he touched it. Now, I have to watch out for him while doing laundry. He also likes to slam the dryer door shut (it makes a loud noise).

Playing

I moved Ascher to the floor for more room, and he then enjoyed throwing the markers and pencils out of the bag. That seems to be his new game, Empty Everything.

My little artist

Ascher took the initiative himself to start coloring! I was so excited! I thought he was just going to eat the pencils, but instead starting drawing a beautiful picture. I was so excited that I bought him crayons, but he doesn't like these as much. So I am now interested in getting him an easel before he discovers that the walls make a great canvas!

The Hispanic starts to show

Immer and I had tacos for dinner, and Ascher decided he wanted a tortilla. He ate the whole thing, making Immer very proud! I just laughed and still said it was the Polish, because there was nothing in the tortilla!

Up, up, up

I simply went to the bathroom (which is in the kitchen), thought Ascher was following me, but turns out he decided to climb his high chair. The funny thing was, he still didn't know how to get down!

How I like to Play

Now that he is more mobile, Ascher is looking for new ways to do old things. Like this, playing with his table from above. I was a little nervous about this, so he hasn't played this way since. It was rather creative though.

I think I can do this...

Look, there's mommy

Just a little bit more...

Finally, I made it!
