New Toys!

Everytime I cook, Ascher insists on interupting me, getting my attention, and basically bugging me! So I bought him these wonderful new toys from Melissa and Doug! He can "cut" food (velcro them together), make sandwiches, and play with food. So now, when I cook, he can cook too! I actually got him a little grill for his birthday, and figured these food items would be good for that! We shall see in a few weeks!

Engagement Cake

Two girls are getting married at work, and we had a shower for them this past weekend! I, of course, made the cake (and an appetizer, Bride Hats, two gifts and the champage!). Thought it turned out pretty good, and the girls loved it! The diamond of the cake was covered in white decorator sugar to give it some sparkle, and the ring was painted with silver glitter! Can't wait for the weddings!

These are the girls, wearing their wonderful hats! That's our Schaumburg crew, minus a few. I actually made those "cakes" for the girls from towels. They were the hit of the party!

Trying Not to Cry Over Spilled Milk

Ascher somehow walked all around the kitchen with his milk upside down, spilling it everywhere! I was cleaning in the living room when I heard a boom, and saw him laying there. He slipped in the milk and couldn't get up. So I had to mop the floor, clean him up, and send him to his nap!

Reading

Immer and I were finishing up dinner, and Ascher decided to get some "books" to read. So he went to the magazine rack and pulled out this newspaper full of toys. He read this entire thing, every page, pointing out different toys, bulldozers, legos, balls. He looks like such a little man!

Bubbles!

Got Ascher a new toy....a bubble blower! He doesn't really like to play with it though. He likes you to blow them, so he can play and chase the bubbles away. We just have to keep in the garage for right now. The wind is blowing too hard and too fast to really enjoy them.

It's been so nice out here, that Ascher just does not want to go inside! Him and Immer were outside for over three hours the other weekend. I, on the other hand, try not to keep him out so long at once. He just likes to walk up and down the hills, try the steps, and wander. I've got to keep an eye on him and his balls though. When it's windy, they like to roll into the street!

Just Like Mommy!

Immer and I....wait, I am not happy with our bedroom, so I am trying to figure out something new and different for it. So I was taking measurements, playing with arrangements, and all that fun stuff. Ascher helped, and once I was done, he decided to measure the windows and his table. It's really fun to watch him do things that you do. He really does pay quite a bit of attention to what I do!

Just Like Daddy!

Since getting the toilet, Ascher just won't sit on it! He would just stand there, and look into it. I just couldn't figure out what he was doing....then I caught on! He says he's "going toilet like daddy". Now Immer has to sit when Ascher is watching, so Ascher can start using it.

Potty Time!!

Ascher has been showing quite a bit of interest in the toilet. Telling us when he goes pee-pee and stuff. So we went and bought him his own toilet! He's afraid of it, and now will not go near it. He actually tried to put toys in it, and even tried "cooking" in it! We had to stop that real quick....now it's only for practicing toilet.

Cheerios

Ascher loves Cheerios.....and every morning likes to "pour" his cereal. He askes for a bowl, spoon, and milk as well.
