Helping Mommy

Ah yes, nothing like being buried under warm laundry after a nice nap! Things are going good here! Ascher is doing much better, and is done with his medicine. We went for a check-up, and the doctor informed us that Ascher only weighs 15lbs. Which is somewhat concerning, since he weighed in at 16.2 lbs in December. But, he also has been sick and had not much of an appetite. So we are trying to bulk him up again, and give him some strength. I'm not too concerned, yet, with his weight. But we are also switching doctors, and will see what the new guy has to say!
Otherwise, I'm LOVING work!! It is so much fun to get out of the house and talk normally without waving hands and cooing. I must admit though, I have become mom of the store at work. I'm always reminding the girls to get their work done, put things away, and cleaning up after them. I also had to break up a fight between a brother and sister the other weekend. Their parents were shopping, they were screaming, so I simply played the mom card and told them to stop or the games get turned off. Their parents were impressed, because it worked!
Immer is also working hard. It's been a little difficult since we now don't have weekends together, but at least he's bonding with Ascher. He's had a few business opportunities that he's considering though. So hopefully he will continue to work hard, but maybe with shorter hours!
We are also starting to talk about Ascher's B-day party. We have a few ideas, but that day will be here before we know it! Well, if anyone has any ideas, please, share with us!!

Easter Sunday

What a weekend! Friday night Immer noticed that Ascher was warm, and he had a slight fever. The next morning, the fever was lower, so I went to work leaving Immer in charge. When I came home that night, his fever was 103.2, which was kinda scary. So I immediately told Immer that we were going to the hospital. Good thing! In less that an hour, his fever spiked to 104!!! The nurses were concerned, so they started running tests. They did a flu test, chest X-rays and tried to draw blood for tests. Luckily, before the nurse guessed at finding a vein, the doctor told us he had the flu, ear infection, as well pneumonia!!! So they gave him a shot of antibiotics, as well as a pretty strong prescription. So Sunday we had to stay home, instead of visiting family in Tinley. Sunday was a long day, since Ascher didn't sleep well, was needy the next day, and we came home so late the night before. But don't worry, all is well now. Ascher's fever is gone but he still has a flemmy cough and a slightly runny nose.
But Thank you for all of your concerns and calls! Ascher is doing so much better!! He is laughing and giggling and acts completely normal!

Crazy Daddy

Ascher finally got the matching drum to go with his maracas, and he and Immer had a fun time playing together!
