I know, I know
Sorry fans, it's been a while. My laptop broke, and I've been getting the run around from Geek Squad, so things have been a little crazy trying to adjust as a one computer family.
Ascher's latest trick! He is getting so big, and learning things really quick! He can now proudly show you where his nose, head, ear, hair, and Buddha belly are(the last one was Immer's claim to fame). He now enjoys picking his nose in front of people, giving them lots to laugh at. He will also crack himself up. He starts laughing for no reason, and keeps going until you start laughing with him. He is also becoming more vocal. He loves to scream at the top of his lungs, at a very high pitch. Sometimes, I must admit, it hurts my ears. Ascher is also more vocal in other ways. He loves to babble, and try to talk. But everything is Dodo...or Bah....so who knows what he is really saying.
Immer is working really hard now at both jobs. He is working so hard, that he's in Denver..without me!! He is getting certification on a phone system, and will be gone for a week. So far, so good. HOPEFULLY, the next time he travels, he brings his loving wife and son. Yeah, right I know. I'll let you know how that goes!
Well, things have been going really well!! We are busy trying to plan Ascher's party! Can't wait to see everyone there!! And no, I'm still not sure if we are actually going to cut his hair there or not. And yes, we know about the cicadas!
Since I now work weekends, I make Immer cook. It's really convenient for me, and it gives him a taste of what I do daily! I try to pick simple meals for him to make, 5 items or less. So far, it works great, but there has been an increase in the amount of pizzas that have been delivered. And yes, he is wearing a PINK bunny oven mitt!!
Our neighbors love the water, so they invited Ascher out for a swim. He had a better time in there alone! Him and Leah like poking each other in the eye, and she even tried to dunk him. But he's a strong, good man and let her do whatever she wanted without fighting back. Don't worry...we're working on fixing that!
We are trying to teach Ascher to crawl, and the only motivation that seems to be working is Puffs. These things are great! He will crawl through anything to get one of these, and it's working!! He's not traditionally crawling, but can get around, forward and backward, rather quickly. I am waiting for the day to find him stuck in a chair or something, trying to get at food that he drops. It's really exciting to see him grow and change!! Lucky for us, he's not a quick crawler, because we don't have gates yet!
Ascher has learned to open cabinets!! What fun that is! He likes to scoot around the kitchen, opening the doors and slamming them shut. Needless to say, I have purchased an assortment of cabinet latches now, and am eagerly awaiting for Immer to put them up!
