Rollin' With The Homies

Well, this week has been fun. Ascher has learned the art of throwing fits! It's truly fun....taking a shower, listening to the gentle hysterical crying of a seven month old who suddenly doesn't like not being able to see you. And once this gentle shower is over, it is completed by a nice fist massage from a seven month old who is beating you up for even taking a shower. And of course, all of this happens only in your presence, not around daddy or any other soul on the planet. Ascher is also enjoying the pleasure of teething. We keep thinking we see stuff, but whatever we see it just disappears! But something must be coming, he is chewing like crazy on his thumbs and fingers, to the point that his thumbs are chapped, cracking, and bleeding. What fun! Ascher has also become very vocal, in a good and bad way. His crying has grown louder, as well has his babbling and fun talk. He has also learned to clap! It's so funny to watch him do it, and loves it when you clap with him. As for mom and dad, we are just hanging out, watching Ascher and his new stunts, such as the one shown above. He decided to roll under the ottoman and hang out, he really loved it too, and was not happy when I moved him! We are also gearing up for a great weekend next week, when the Bears face the Colts. GO BEARS!!!!

Hello Baby!

Things are going well around here! We are just enjoying our time together as a family. Ascher has just been honing his skills of sitting, rolling, and eating. I, am frantically trying to design drapes for the living room, or bedroom, depending if I have purchased enough fabric. I found this fabric months ago, but last week I bought all they had on clearance. Now there is no more, and I'm short by like, 2 yards. ARGGG! Oh well. I hope to act fast (insert hysterical laughing here) in case I need to travel to find more on clearance ($20 a yard on clearance for $2!!). Other than that, we are planning for another exciting Bears game for the weekend! Hope you all watch and have a great week!

Don't Have Much!

Well, not much to tell this week. The day after Christmas, I got sick, then Ascher, then Immer. We were sick for an entire week, which meant our New Year wasn't that great. Plus the Bears lost, which but the sick Immer in an even sicker mood. But we still had fun. We went to Steve and Tif's house to party down, and left shortly after the New Year. Other than that, things have been kinda low key. Except for Sunday, when the power suddenly went out. Of course, Immer immediately thought I did something, until we noticed the entire subdivision was out. So we were without power for about 2 hours. Ascher didn't seem to enjoy living by candlelight. He was very fussy and clingy the entire time. By the time it was his bedtime, the lights had finally come back on.

Ascher has been doing quite well with food. He definitely loves his squash (thought it was carrots when I bought them)...Which I hope is something he will grow out of...Considering neither Immer or I eat squash. He also enjoys his biter biscuts. He will chew on those for quite a while, then throw them at you. Quite fun! Hoepfully chewing on those will encourage his little teeth to come out. We shall see.
