Headed Home
Here's a wonderful site for our friends and family to see what's happening here in Round Lake! Hope you enjoy!
David loves cars. And he has some scale ones to prove it. So he decided to share his love with Ascher, and teach him the "good" cars. Surprisingly, we took this video in one shot. He picked the car names up really quick, and now looks through the magazines for the same cars!
Steven made Sargent!!! He gets the promotion in October, just before he deploys again! Unfortunately, that also means that he is re-enlisting for another 4 years. But I don't believe he has to go back to Iraq, so that's a good thing. He would just be working in Cali on tanks and other big army like machinery.
Last time we where at the beach, we never actually made it to the beach. So Steven and I met at the beach! Ascher liked the water, until Uncle Steven scared him by thinking the water is going to actually get him. But we fixed the probelm and Ascher enjoyed sticking his feet in the water. He also collected lots of shells for his collection! The only problem was, he didn't want to leave. So he threw a fit....as you can tell from the picture. But we ended up getting him home and bathed, and he played with his shells during lunch!
Yes, my father has a clap on light. Yes, Ascher really liked it. So my mom was showing him how she knocks on the headboard and the light goes off. Well, Ascher figured out a different way to get the light to work...........please see video and enjoy!
For some reason, Ascher kept asking for a train while at grandma's house. We had no idea what he was talking about, and didn't know what to tell him. So he kept asking Uncle David for a train. Uncle David promised to take him to Wal-Mart and buy him one after dinner. Well, Ascher really didn't eat that night, and kept asking if it was time to go to Wal-Mart. So we dragged Uncle David to Wal-Mart for a train. Well, there was slim picking there, so Ascher picked to biggest and largest train set they had! So for the entire trip, Ascher kept asking if we could go home and play with his train.
A few weekends ago, we took a trip to Milwaukee to visit a Children's Museum. It was hosting a Mr. Potato Head exhibit that was really interesting! But the really cool part was everything else. It had a mechanic's garage, bank, grocery store, post office and TV studio for children to play in. Ascher had a great time going to all the exhibits, but I think he was a little overwhelmed. There was so much to see and do that he just kept running from thing to thing. And it was pretty crowded.
