Glad to be home

Boy- it was definitely a very long trip. We had an amazing time, and made many great memories. Too many to post, sorry. We had a great time visiting with Uncle Mike and Uncle Amy, seeing all the wonderful sights in Disney, and were really sad we had to leave so quickly. But it's definitely a place we would like to visit again. Yes, to get Mickey hats. And quiet possibly find the match to a missing sock that I just realized that we might have left in the room. Ascher was glad to be home as well. He was starting to miss his friends, and really wanted to play with his new Mack truck. Mommy and daddy just wanted to get home and actually sleep longer than 6 hours a night in a full size bed!

Animal Kingdom

This was our last day in the Parks- so made sure to make the best of it! We started with a Safari Tour in Animal Kingdom. It was really cool to see all the animals out and about just wandering around. We then headed to play the drums, and Immer and Mike rode the new Mount Everest ride. After that, we headed to Hollywood Studios. We packed so much into that last day, I am very surprised that we made it through!

Magic Kingdom Electric Parade

We decided to relax in the morning by the pool and enjoy the little beach by our hotel room. Just so we could hit the parade and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom! Ascher really loved the Electric Parade. He was screaming his lungs off at all the characters, like they could hear him. It was so cute, he thought the seven dwarfs from Snow White was actually Stinky Pete from Toy Story! He was like that with all the characters he saw in Disney. He did really good staying up late. I don't think all the sugar Uncle Mike and Uncle Amy pumped into him had anything to do with it.

Epcot

Ascher loved the Golf ball- that's all he talked about. He was really excited to find out there was a ride in there too! He wanted his picture taken in front of it every time we walked by it!
Here he is again, but with Daddy!

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios was really exciting. Ascher loved watching the parade and getting all the snacks! Ascher loved the car stunt show- he reenacts it all the time at home with his cars. We did get to see McQueen and Mater- but Ascher was not really that into seeing them. He screamed when we got close enough for photos.

I really wanted to get Mickey hats embroidered with our names. But Ascher really was not into it! I was so upset! I tried all of them on him, and he refused them all! Next time, I'm not listening to him. The whole family is getting one!

We also did get to see Woody! That was really exciting! That's one thing that really excited him. That's the fun part of Disney, seeing the innocence in children.

The Magic Kingdom

Ascher had a great time in the Magic Kingdom. He loved Cinderella's Castle, and was really excited to see it. That's how he knew he was finally in Disney. He saw the castle and started screaming and jumping up and down Main Street. He loved driving the race cars, playing the Buzz Lightyear ride, and the ever popular Dumbo ride!

Ascher's first Coaster

We were really not sure how this would go. When you ride your first coaster, you either love it or hate it. Luckily for us, Ascher loved it! He was laughing and screaming the entire time! When in line, Ascher saw some older kids crying and and were not too excited about getting in the ride. They cried the entire time! My little man was determined to show them how it was done!

Dining with the Stars

We knew it was going to be a busy vacation. And I made sure to start it off with a bang! We had a wonderful breakfast with Goofy, Donald and Minnie at Cape May.

Then we had breakfast with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet at the Crystal Palace. Very nice, and very good food.

Then we had dinner with Mickey, pluto and Dale at the Garden Grille with Uncle Amy and Uncle Mike!

Disney Here we come!

It was a very long overdue vacation. And one that took forever to get here. But boy, were we ready! The flight was good, filled with kids screaming and crying for the bathroom and snacks. Then we got to stand in line with those same kids who were all in much need of a nap. By the time we got to the hotel, everyone was hungry and ready for a nap. We were really anxious to get into the parks- but first we needed to rest up and eat!

Party with Family

We headed Down South for a wonderful Engler family party. It's always fun seeing all the little cousins running around screaming at each other and fighting for all different toys and attention. And of course trying to watch a little Bears action.

The Apple Farm with Friends

We love our neighbors. We try to do as much as possible with them while the weather is still nice. So one day, we jumped in the car and headed to the apple farm! We didn't pick apples, just walked around hanging out. They did the jumpy jump, played with goats and rode the train. Hopefully things won't change too much with the arrival of Leah's new baby brother James!

Cutting and Gluing

OK- I totally blame Steven for this fear. When he was little, he loved scissors. No. Seriously, loved them. He cut everything. His blanket, curtains, upholstery on chairs, his hair, and occasionally paper. So now that I have a little one, I am having a very hard time letting him use scissors. He does pretty good with them, but I make absolutely sure they are put away someplace where he cannot get them easily. Here he is, cutting up grocery ads. I asked him to make a grocery list using the ads, and glue them to paper. Lucky for me, he hates sticky fingers, so it didn't last long!
